Bird proofing for a new Lloyds Bank in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk

24 Nov

Earlier this month we had a Bird Proofing project to deliver in Great Yarmouth. This was a major refurbishment of an old building in the market square in Great Yarmouth which was being turned into a state of the art new Lloyds Bank. Our Abate team had to work all weekend to ensure the handover was complete for 10am on the Monday morning.

We had to install a new bird proofing spiking system on the parapet ledge and new fixings and netting to the front of the building.

You will see some before, during and after pictures. You will also see us completing work late in the evening and how well we work with tight deadlines.

This project involved complex risk assessments and method statements. All the netting was installed via a cherry picker working at high level.  It involved us being CSCS carded which is the leading competency card scheme for construction. We also had to be Asbestos aware, IPAF qualified and insured for 10 million. Our team used two-way radios so the men working at height could liaise with the Abate grounds person ensuring safe access and safety of many other on-site contractors.

This work will ensure this building is gull and pigeon free and was a highly complex design by Ian and Jon.  We are not just rat men, we offer complex solutions for pest control in Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.
